Night Club near Business Bay

Business Bay is Dubai’s busiest mixed-use district: office towers, hotels and apartment buildings along the Dubai Water Canal, right next to Downtown. It has rooftop bars, hotel lounges and some well-known clubs, but they are busy, expensive and often full of visitors. If you live or work in Business Bay and want a different kind of night, Sugar Lounge & Club in Al Barsha is about 15 to 20 minutes away along Sheikh Zayed Road. This guide explains the route and the nights that suit the Business Bay crowd.

Business Bay at a glance

Business Bay sits between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, around the Dubai Canal and the Business Bay Crossing. Bay Avenue, Marasi Drive and the canal promenade are its main leisure spots, with Downtown and the Burj Khalifa on its doorstep. It is home to thousands of young professionals and a large number of short-stay apartments, and its nightlife is busy and fast-moving.

From Business Bay by taxi

From most of Business Bay, join Sheikh Zayed Road heading towards Abu Dhabi and exit at Mall of the Emirates into Al Barsha 1. At night, the trip usually takes 15 to 20 minutes. Al Khail Road is an alternative from the southern side of the district. Ask your ride-hailing app for Montreal Barsha Hotel, 23rd Street.

By metro

Business Bay Metro Station on the Red Line is a direct ride to Mall of the Emirates Station, heading towards the Expo and Jebel Ali end of the line, without changing trains. From Mall of the Emirates, walk or take a short taxi to 23rd Street. It is a good way to arrive early in the evening; for the trip home, take a taxi, as the metro closes before we do.

After work in Business Bay

Business Bay offices empty into the bars around the canal every evening. If your team wants more than another after-work drink, Sugar Club is a short ride away. On Tuesdays, our ladies night in Dubai brings free cocktails and shisha for ladies, which makes it a favourite for women’s networking groups and teams celebrating a win.

Team nights and corporate events

Business Bay companies celebrate often: product launches, quarterly results, new hires and farewells. Sugar Club can reserve tables or a section for your team, with bottle service, shisha and a DJ who knows how to mark the occasion. Our private party venue in Dubai page explains corporate packages and invoicing.

Weekend Arabic nights

Business Bay is home to many Arab professionals and families, and our Arabic nights in Dubai from Thursday to Saturday are a regular plan for many of them. Thursday mixes Arabic hits with international club music; Friday and Saturday are fully Arabic. Book a table ahead.

Why leave Business Bay for the night

Business Bay’s clubs are well known, but the trade-offs are long queues, strict door policies and high minimum spends. Sugar Club is a full club with themed nights, a lounge with shisha and friendlier table prices, with a crowd of Dubai residents who come for the music. For many Business Bay residents, it has become a regular alternative.

Tables and bottle service

A reserved table gives your group a host, bottle service, shisha and a clear view of the dance floor. Our VIP table booking in Dubai page explains how minimum spend works and how to book on WhatsApp.

For visitors in short-stay apartments

Business Bay has many holiday apartments and hotels. If you are staying here and want a night that feels local, Sugar Club is a short taxi ride away. Bring your passport as ID, dress smart casual and check our weekly line-up before you go.

Midweek nights

Monday Madness offers a drinks and shisha deal, Wednesday is hip hop and R&B, and Sunday is Afrobeats and Amapiano. These nights are easier for walk-ins and tables, and popular with Business Bay residents who work in hospitality and have weekends during the week.

Bay Avenue and the canal

Many Business Bay evenings begin at Bay Avenue, the restaurants along Marasi Drive or a walk on the Dubai Canal promenade. When dinner is over, the choice is usually between a crowded rooftop and an early night. Sugar Club offers a third option: a short drive to a full club with a lounge, shisha and a dance floor, with a crowd that is there for the music.

Getting home

Taxis wait outside Montreal Barsha Hotel at closing, and the drive back to Business Bay along Sheikh Zayed Road is quick at night. Never drive after drinking; Dubai has zero tolerance.
