Night Club near Al Barsha South and Arjan

Al Barsha South has grown fast. Arjan, the communities around Dubai Miracle Garden and the new towers along Umm Suqeim Street are now home to thousands of young professionals and families. What the area still lacks is nightlife: there are cafés, a few lounges and plenty of delivery options, but few places with a dance floor. Sugar Lounge & Club is the nearest full night club for many Al Barsha South residents, about 10 minutes away in Al Barsha 1. Here is how to get there and which nights suit the area.

Route from Al Barsha South

From Arjan and the surrounding communities, the most direct route is north along Umm Suqeim Street towards Mall of the Emirates, then into Al Barsha 1 to 23rd Street. At night the drive usually takes 8 to 15 minutes depending on where you start. Hessa Street is an alternative from the western side of Al Barsha South. Ask for Montreal Barsha Hotel in your ride-hailing app and you will be dropped at the hotel entrance.

No metro? No problem

Much of Al Barsha South is not close to a metro station, which is why most residents use taxis or ride-hailing for nights out. The good news is that the trip is short and direct, so the fare is reasonable and the journey home after closing is quick. For groups, one larger car is often cheaper than several small ones. Parking is available at the hotel if someone in the group is not drinking.

A younger crowd, a younger playlist

Al Barsha South attracts a young population, and they tend to come out midweek and on Sundays. Our Wednesday hip hop night in Dubai is a natural fit, with R&B, 2000s anthems and current rap. On Sunday, our Afrobeats night closes the weekend with Afrobeats, Amapiano and Afro house. Weekends from Thursday to Saturday belong to Arabic music, and Tuesday is ladies night with free cocktails and shisha for ladies.

Celebrations from Arjan and Al Barsha South

New neighbourhoods are full of new friendships, and birthdays are often the first big night out for a group of neighbours. Bring the building’s group chat to Sugar Club and let us handle the table, cake and DJ shout-out. Our birthday party venue in Dubai page explains how birthday tables work, from midweek tables with lower minimum spends to full weekend setups.

Before the club

Many Al Barsha South groups start the night at home, then head out together once everyone is ready. Others meet for dinner at Mall of the Emirates, a short drive from Arjan, and continue to Sugar Club afterwards. If you want to start slower, come for a shisha in our lounge and stay as the music builds. The lounge is open every night.

What makes the trip worth it

A night out from Al Barsha South should be worth the taxi. At Sugar Club, you get a real dance floor, resident DJs, a different theme every night, a lounge with shisha and VIP tables, all just off Sheikh Zayed Road. You avoid the long ride to Downtown or the Marina, and the journey home is short enough that you can stay until the last song.

Al Barsha South at a glance

Al Barsha South covers a large area south of Al Barsha and Hessa Street, including Arjan, the communities around Dubai Miracle Garden and Dubai Butterfly Garden, Dubai Science Park and a growing number of new towers. Many residents moved here for space and value, and the area is still building its own restaurants and leisure options. For now, most of the neighbourhood’s nightlife happens a short drive away, which is why Al Barsha 1 and Sugar Club are a natural choice.

Weekend tables from Arjan

From Thursday to Saturday, our Arabic nights are the busiest of the week. If you are coming from Arjan or Al Barsha South with a group, book a table a few days ahead. Tell us your arrival time and the number of guests, and we will hold a table for you near the dance floor or in the lounge.

Getting home
