Night Club near Mall of the Emirates: From the Mall to the Dance Floor

Mall of the Emirates is where many Dubai evenings begin: a film, dinner, some shopping or an hour on the slopes at Ski Dubai. When the mall starts to close, the question is where to go next. Sugar Lounge & Club is the closest proper night club to Mall of the Emirates, a short walk away inside Montreal Barsha Hotel on 23rd Street, Al Barsha 1. There is no need to move the car, call a taxi across the city or end the night when the shops shut. This page explains how to get from the mall to our door and how to plan a night that starts at MoE.

Walking from the mall

From the mall, head out on the Al Barsha side, away from Sheikh Zayed Road, and walk into Al Barsha 1 towards 23rd Street. Montreal Barsha Hotel is in the block of hotels behind the mall, and the walk takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes depending on which entrance you leave from. The streets are busy and well lit in the evening. If you would rather not walk, a taxi from the mall’s taxi rank takes a few minutes.

By metro and taxi

Mall of the Emirates Metro Station on the Red Line connects directly to the mall, which makes the mall itself a useful meeting point for friends coming by metro from the Marina, Downtown or Deira. Meet inside the mall, then walk or take a short taxi to Sugar Club together. Remember that the metro does not run all night, so plan a taxi or ride-hail home. Taxis are easy to find outside Montreal Barsha Hotel at closing time.

A night that starts at Mall of the Emirates

The mall gives you a full evening before the club. Catch an early film, have dinner at one of the restaurants on the upper levels, or try Ski Dubai if you have visitors in town. By the time you finish, the lounge at Sugar Club is warming up and the DJ is playing the first sets of the night. Groups often split up for shopping and reunite in our lounge with a shisha, which is easier than trying to find each other in a crowded food court.

For hotel guests around the mall

The hotels attached to and around Mall of the Emirates host thousands of visitors every night, and many are looking for something more local than a hotel bar. Sugar Club is a short walk or taxi from most of them. Bring your passport as ID, dress smart casual, and ask the concierge for Montreal Barsha Hotel. If you are in Dubai for a few nights, check our weekly line-up and pick the night that matches your taste in music.

Which night to choose

If you are at the mall on a Tuesday, follow it with our ladies night in Dubai, with free cocktails and shisha for ladies. From Thursday to Saturday, our Arabic nights are the busiest of the week, so a table is a good idea. Wednesday is hip hop and R&B, Sunday is Afrobeats and Amapiano, and Monday Madness offers a drinks and shisha deal. Whichever day you are shopping, there is a themed night waiting.

Booking a table after the mall

If you are planning a celebration around a mall visit, such as a birthday dinner followed by a night out, book a table so your group has a base when it arrives. Our VIP table booking page explains minimum spends and what is included. Send us your expected arrival time on WhatsApp at +971 52 511 3138 and we will hold the table.

Late-night food and drinks

Once the mall restaurants close, options for food and drinks around Al Barsha shrink. Our bar serves cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine and bottles late into the night, and the lounge serves shisha. It makes Sugar Club a practical last stop as well as a party venue.

Parking at the mall or the hotel?

If you drove to the mall, you might be tempted to leave the car there and walk over. Mall car parks have their own closing rules and charges, so check before you leave a car overnight. It is usually simpler to drive the short distance to Montreal Barsha Hotel and use the hotel parking, or better, leave the car at home and use taxis for the whole evening. If anyone in your group plans to drink, a safe-driver service can take you and the car home together at the end of the night.
